Each year on October 1st, our Agency sends all licensees an email notification that the online renewal portal is open, and they can begin renewing their licenses for the following year by clicking on the included link. Renewing some licenses, such as for Manufacturers is a relatively simple process of reviewing and verifying that the licensee’s information is current and then electronically paying the licensing fee. Other license renewals can take more time to renew such as the Combination Dealer license, because it requires a report on the number of vehicles sold during the 12-month period from October 1 of the previous year to September 30th of the current year and must submit various documents such as a new Bond, Certificate of Liability Insurance, and a Worker’s Compensation Waiver if eligible. For licensees, such as Combination Dealers, once the license has been renewed, we will mail you your new license along with a Treasurer’s Certificate which authorizes the number of dealer plates you are to receive at your local County Treasurer/DMV.

As a friendly reminder, please inform us if you are not planning to renew so that we know not to expect a renewal application from you.
